Landlords from around Cambridgeshire have been gaining professional advice about letting their properties – thanks to the know-how of estate agents Harrison Murray. Both the Wisbech and March branches have already hosted successful open evenings to give
existing landlords the chance to discuss the lettings process and find out about the legislation involved.
Ashley Taylor from Harrison Murray’s Cambridgeshire lettings service headed up the events, joined by Association of Residential Lettings (ARLA) qualified Debbie Mallin from lettings central office in Leicestershire. Ashley was appointed to the lettings team last summer to meet the growing demand of people from the county looking to let out their property or move into rented accommodation. During the past nine months, Harrison Murray has seen a 300 per cent increase in landlords using their professional lettings service.
Following the success of the opening evenings in Cambridgeshire, landlords across Leicestershire will also now be able to benefit from similar events at Harrison Murray’s local offices.
Harrison Murray development director Jackie Scotten said: “The opening evenings have been a tremendous success and both events attracted first time landlords as well as those who were looking to keep up with the latest legislation. There was no obligation and the evenings were really informal, with members of the lettings and residential teams on hand to answer questions and offer information.”
Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) member Harrison Murray currently has a thriving lettings service in Cambridgeshire, Leicester, Northamptonshire and Melton Mowbray. It includes full property management and rent collection services, as well as a tenant-find-only service.
